Impact tests on two sets of S4 Beams (link S4 Beam wiki) were performed. Load washers were used to measure the bolt preload. Both low-amplitude linear impacts and high-amplitude nonlinear impact tests were conducted. Drive points were chosen such that the first six flexible modes of the structure are excited. The data includes frequency response functions (FRFs) from the linear tests and time-domain response from the nonlinear tests. Both raw and modally-filtered time-histories have been included. The data also includes amplitude-dependent frequency and damping plots, obtained by applying Hilbert transform on the modal response.

Additionally, surface measurements of the four contact surfaces of the 2017 S4 Beam assembly, obtained using a co-ordinate measuring machine, can also be found.

All measurements have been saved as .mat files and zipped into a folder, available to download at https://byusdrg.com/s4-beam-measurements-2020/. It is recommended to read the "readme.txt" and "S4testdata_20201105.xlsx" in order to understand the naming conventions and test logs. Further information can also be found in (link Wall et al. 2020 paper).
